Week 67 - Three, is a magic number

Hi Everyone! This week was a really really good week. We were really busy, and had a lot of appointments.

It was so nice to reunite with my old friends from the beginning of my mission. I've loved being able to come somewhere where I already know the ward and the area and I have great companions so I can just WORK. Seriously so nice.

I got to go out finding with Isabella this week which was really fun, and had a lesson with sweet Lene.

One of my favorite lessons that we had was with a returning member, Kristoffer. He grew up in the church but had went a different way in his youth. Now he wants to come back. And you can tell he's just all in. You could tell he'd been through some hard times and he told us that he had been struggling and when the sisters called him to ask if he wanted to meet up sometime. And that coming back to church had always been in the back of his mind.

He asked a lot of really good questions and you could just tell he was so genuine. Like, "How do you guys find the strength to withstand temptation?" And "How do you think we can keep ourselves close to God?"

He told us that as a kid he really only read the Book of Mormon cause he had to, but now that he's reading it because he wants to, it has changed everything for him. At the end we asked him if he has any questions and he told us, "no, no questions, but I did just want to tell you guys that ever since I've been meeting with you things have just been going a lot better,"

We also had a lesson with Shao. Lol.

Church was so good. And a lot of people actually remembered me! Which I didn't expect,, cause I was in training when i was last there. It was so nice to see all of the amazing people in that ward. I love my Gladsaxe 2 peeps. Søster DeLange and I gave our testimonies and it went well.

There was this really sweet young mom I worked with a lot a year ago, visited her quite a bit and invited her to help with missionary work when she wanted to. A little before I left she thanked me a lot and told me she had been going through a hard time, and that she needed it a lot. She wasn't able to be at church this last Sunday, but after the meeting her husband came up to me and my comps and said, "Hi sister Felt! Thanks for your testimony. It's great to have you back:) I have a friend who wants to learn more about the church and I would love your help with that,"

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys that's like a way big deal.

That's one thing that I have a hard time with, sometimes it's hard to feel like your a good missionary when you don't get a lot of referrals. I've had to work hard to remind myself that good works are good works, even if you dont see the fruits. Helping Frederikke was a good thing. And I know God needed me in the ward at that time so that I could help her. And who knew that a year later it would lead to us finding people to teach!

God is a God of miracles. And the work moves forward. It requires both faith and patience to recognize. Elder Eyring once said, "the Lord is building His kingdom quietly through His faithful and humble servants, with little fanfare, toward its glorious millennial future. It takes the Holy Spirit to see the growing grandeur." I know that that is true. The work is moving forward whether or not you are aware of it, and its up to you to decide whether or not you will be a part of it.

This week I also learned that when we do all that we can, God will make up for our shortcomings. Finding was hard for us this week and we barely got our 15 hours. Between trying to figure out our new routine, driving to our area from Copenhagen, and all of the appointments we just didn't feel like we did as much as we would've liked to. It was kinda a bummer that we didn't have much "success". But we were ready to plan better for the next week so that we could be more effective and hopefully find some people.

Then we got that referral on Sunday, and about 4 different people reached out to US over Facebook to tell us they were interested in talking more!

It just really showed me that God blesses you for trying and for your desires. And really, we aren't in control of anything. We need His help in everything we do and if we want to share this gospel with anyone, we're going to need to rely on Him.

Welp, that's all folks. Elsker jer💗

"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye be excellent to eachother; as I have been excellent unto you, that ye also be excellent to one another."
