Week 62 - Tomorrow!

Today I tried to write my email Søster Hepworth style but quickly got bored of writing my email. Enjoy.

Wednesday

We work up bright and early and whipped our blueberry over to the elders place to give them a ride to zone conference. On the way we discovered that Elder Merrill can drink an entire large cocio in one sitting, elder Appleby had a mutual back home, and Søster Shults really loves Dansk Lovsange and being in charge of the map. We arrived early and helped søster Olsen prepare food in the kitchen.

The conference went well and the spirit was strong. Sister Shults bore a dying testimony and together we gave a training on how we can have companionship unity.

The plan was, that after that we would split with the Rødovre sisters, but given that sister Lee had been sick all weekend, we decided not to push our luck.

Friday

Another Day of waking up bright and early, but this time to drive to Jylland. We trucked over to Esbjerg for splits with Sisters Paras and Nielsen. Legends.

A few bridges and brief three hours later we had finished our trip on the winding E20 and arrived at "the Chicago of Denmark" Esbjerg.

*because their crime rate is the highest*
*honestly somebody probably just littered there once*

We knocked on the apartment door and it slowly creaked open. A rather small, blonde head poked around the door.

"Hi Mom!" She said.

MY CHILD!

I would have tenderly embraced sister Paras, but

1) Corona

And

2) She hates almost every form of physical contact.

So I gave her a loving high five.

Then it was finally time to work. She and planned out our day and started off for the gågade. Oof. A jysk gågade with søster Paras, first thing in the morning.

Does anybody know how to spell day-zjah-vooh?

We started off light. Just smiled and greeted people. Then I saw a man in a blue shirt, and the Spirit was like,

"Go."
And I was like,
"What?"
And the spirit was like,
"Do it."
So I was like,
"Okay,"
And walked up to this old man.

Keep in mind it's been a bit since we have contacted like we did in the good old days.

As I approached him, my brain came up with this brilliant, groundbreaking question:

"Hej, kan du godt lide Jesus?"
*do you like Jesus*

I know, mic drop.
The Savior did it a little better(See Matthew 22:42)

But anyways, that lead to a really good conversation about how we can get to know the Savior.

Saturday

Jylland zone conference. Aka round two of the training. Aka more yummy frikadeller.

President dropped a bomb on us. Classic President. I found out that Sister Shults is leaving me on Wednesday to go be with another sister and I'm getting a trainee! WHAT?!

Sunday

I went on splits with sister Peterson in Horsens and she is amazing and I love her.

After the drive back from Zone conference we walked past the cemetery into the old building that houses the sisters.

"What did this building used to be?" I asked Sister Peterson. She looked at me as she switched her key in the lock of the rickety old elevator, and smiled a bit.
"You sure you wanna know?" Oof.
"Yeah," I said, unsure if I really wanted to know.
"Its an old insane asylum," she answered.

Of course it is.

I wasn't sure if I believed her, but after walking in and seeing the structure of the building I can confirm that it is in fact an old insane asylum.

"You can look at it like you live in an insane asylum by the Cemetery," she said, "OR you can choose to say that you live in a castle by the park!" Good ole positivity right there 👍

We had a great time working together 😄 it was fun to be a guest at church!

Monday

Today we played badminton with the elders and came to a baptism. It was great! Angeliina came too on her own and it was fun to chat with her. She is doing really well.

Thank you for your love and prayers! I love Sjælland and being a missionary!

Mkh, Søster Felt
