Week 61 - My Liahona

Halløøøøøjjj familien felt (and guests)

I hope you're all doing well and enjoying Summertime back home. Summertime is awesome here, as the sun never seems to set and the Danes never seem to have pants on.

Not gonna lie, it's been a bit of a long week here in Slagelse. Sister Shults and I have needed to figure out our groove, and at the same time we're trying to keep track of all of our people, have all of those sjovt meetings, organize splits/trainings, and pass stuff over to the Elders.

We had a lesson with Angeliina on Friday and it went SO GOOD. We talked about temples, and the spirit went WAY strong. She brought up her family and baptism and got crazy goosebumps. It was so cool. We also read with her on Thursday. She's doing great and loving being a frisk member of the church. She also had a way cool experience setting some money aside for tithing, and saw that she was blessed because of it. Love that girl.

We had another Facebook finding workshop with our district this week, and now that we have two new elders in Slagelse, the testosterone has been upped +20,000. I felt overwhelmed and just kinda hid in the back of the room and did my thing while Sister Shults played coach. It went well!

We also had a couple of lessons with different friends and the elders, eating appointments with Bishop and his wife and Anny and Leo, and found out that we will be planning a sister conference soon!

On Sunday we had two sacrament meetings (one in a little "branch" in our area held once a month) and I got to talk at both of them.

I've been thinking a lot lately about how it is actually a huge blessing to be put into situations that are new and strange and unfamiliar to us. It may be icky at first, but it really gives us the opportunity to fine-tune our "spiritual ears" and rely on the guidance of the Spirit. Then can we see how blessed we become when we seek to do God's will instead of our own. When we listen strive to listen to the Spirit's promptings, he will direct us choice by choice, to help us find a new "manner of happiness" to live after.

"When we seek to hear—truly hear—His Son, we will be guided to know what to do in any circumstance," (-President Nelson,, April 2020, Hear Him)

Elsker jer!
