Week 59 - Here I Am (but from Spirit)

This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. [Philippians 3:13–14]

Heyyy family here are all of the important updates:

-Martin got a Utahstate hat, he showed us his football card collection book complete with a page dedicated to member players. He also passed the sacrament for the first time on Sunday and was welcomed into the ward. We could tell he was way pumped.

-Angeliina is still on track to be baptized this Saturday. Pray for her!!

We had a really awesome lesson with her on Sunday. In it, she shared with us her first ever experience with missionaries. She said that a pair of elders knocked on her door one evening when she was feeling particularly down. One of them shared a scripture with her about hope. She said she didn't show it, but that scripture touched her in a way she couldn't describe, and changed her life.

"That planted the seed," she said.

We haven't even told her about our classic "faith is like a seed" analogy. She read about it herself.

She then shared with us why that analogy means so much to her.

"When I was very young, my parents got divorced," she said. "I had friends and family members come and go....and it felt like I had nothing constant in my life,"

"So i planted a tree, I know my tree cant go anywhere,"

She told us she took care of that tree at her childhood home her whole life, and even still checks on it today. "Now my faith can be like my tree," she shared. "Something constant in a world of changes,".

Angelina's faith and willingness to humbly believe and follow promptimgs is amazing. I know that will bless her life. And those elders.... oh my word they probably have no idea. We really never know what good we do. Just share and love. It's so important.

-Søster Webb loves sushi and since she'll be leaving soon we decided to try a sushi place in our area. We ordered the all you can eat and ordered what we wanted to try. This whole time we were unaware that it was actually all that you MUST eat,, as in if you don't eat it you have to pay extra for it. Like A LOT extra. So,, we force fed ourselves. I ate way more eal than I prefer to eat.

-We had a way bomb lesson with Mathias. Which was surprising cause he texted us to let us know he had googled/read and watched a bunch of anti stuff about the church/Joseph Smith/etc. He was still very open and understanding. We talked to him about the plan of Salvation and he's planning on coming to Angelina's baptism on Saturday.

-At coordination meeting with Søren (Our in his garden) we saw a hedgehog!!!!!!!
