Week 42 - Long Live

Tuesday: Lesson with Rebecca!! Honestly one of the best lessons ever. She really opened up to us and told us about her concerns. We were able to help her and give her tips and answers from the scriptures and she took our answers very seriously! She is very believing and humble.

Wednesday: It SNOWWEDD!!!

Had a lesson with Maj. Not gonna lie it was way weird. I think she might have the Corona Virus, the woman was super sick. Don't worry mom I washed my hands. It was hard to be focused during the whole thing, as her chihuahuas were very much in love and she had no problem with them running around and barking all over the place. Paint whatever picture you want with that description. Things FINALLY settled down a bit when we watched the Restoration film together and bore testimony of it. Then a man just came barging into her house, grabbed a cup of coffee and plopped down onto the couch. The conversation went like this-
"What are these young ladies doing talking to this old lady?" -Johnny
"We're talking about God and Jesus Christ," -Maj
"Oh Explicit €&%$@!" -Johnny
*awkward silence*
"So are y'all Jehovah's Witnesses?"-Johnny
"No"-us
"Oh thank goodness!!"

And with that we carried on. The spirit was in and out with that one, but I think we ended on a good note.

Thursday: We had an eating appointment at a members house! This one was way special. It was with the member that we went finding with who doesn't speak much English. She made like WAY GOOD authentic Italian food. Oh my gosh those people do food so right. Luckily her husband speaks really good English, so we could talk to him. But we still made a big effort to involve Andreia in the conversation by speaking slowly and clearly. You should've seen how happy she was. The dinner was fun, and then after we shared a spiritual thought about feasting upon the words of Christ. We asked Andreia to read it in Spanish, and the spirit was so strong. Tears were shed, and she thanked us for everything we had done for her. She told us she was feeling very depressed when we started dropping by and asking her to come finding with us. But with us, she could feel the same spirit so strongly that she remembered what she needed to be doing to find happiness again. I'm going to miss her.

Friday: We thought it would be a day like any other day. We went for a run, ate some muesli for breakfast, and had a good personal study. Then to our suprise, during companionship study, president called. The day before transfers. I almost threw up. The news was that although last minute, he felt strongly that elders were needed in Herning. Thus, we must prepare the area and prepare ourselves for departure. ???!!??!?!?!? Its fine. I spent the rest of the day in a weird daze trying to get a hold of everyone and let them know what's going on and trying to get phone numbers, maps, keys, etc in order for the new elders.

We also helped out at the stables. We repaired an old fence and said goodbye to a few of our friends there.

Saturday: After 30 minutes of pretending to work out but actually just staring at the phone sister Paras decided enough was enough and went to take a shower. That was good news for me, considering that President times his calls just right and always happens to ring while one companion is in the bathroom. Ten minutes later, like clockwork, the phone rang. Good news! Sister Paras is going to Esbjerg and I am going to Slagelse!! I will be serving with Sister Jones. An old legend in the mission. My next door neighbors are sister Webb and sister Hepworth, so that will be so fun. And I will be back on Sjælland!!! Blessed sjælland. Needless to say I am pumped.

Sunday: We had Stake Conference! And our friend Katja came! Which was huge considering it's all the way out in Århus. One of the speakers was from our branch and she gave me a shout out from the stand, referencing my talk from last week about acting in faith, so that was awesome! #takHelle.
It was our last day in Herning, so we said Goodbye to Elder and Sister Blackham, Lisa, Arja, Andreia, and Celine. It was hard, not gonna lie.

I'm so excited to take on the new adventure in Sjælland! I know it's what I need and where I'm needed! I know God loves us and watches out for us every day.

Elsker jer bare så højt,
Søster Felt🇩🇰
