"I see friends shaking hands saying, how do you do, they`re really saying I love you,"
Where to begin
So we start with the highlight: All mission Christmas conference in Fredericia. We played games, ate delicious food, and literally had the most fun nogensinde. And if that wasn't enough, we got to watch the new Lion King! And, as if THAT wasn't enough, president Olsen decided to drop a bomb on us. (Classic president Olsen). That is that he will be making sure that from next transfer on there will be a set of sisters in Iceland. !!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah I know I died. The plans are that they will send two sisters up (called to Denmark to speak Danish) and there they will work in English and Danish (not in Icelandic hehe we are lucky potatoes)(that language is whack) and he will switch them out every transfer. He told us that many of us will get the chance to go see the beautiful country. Now of course, I would love to spend a transfer or two on Iceland. What a scheme. But there's a good chance I'll spend the remainder of my mission on good old Denmark, and if that's what the Lord wants, I'm happy with it. #sayituntilitbecomestrue.
So yeah. That was lit.

We came home and continued on with some good, old fashioned, back-bone givin', elbow greasin', missionary work. Gotta love it. Now that I'm training, I've been doing a lot of the speaking. And my throat has been KILLING ME. Like c'mon I can only hold this potato in my throat for so long. Occasionally I get tired, and I want to take the potato out, but unfortunately I cannot do that. Speaking Danish without the potato is just Swedish. And we are not here for the Swedes. Unless they have Swedish fish.
Sorry, off topic.
With it being Christmas time sister Paras and I have tried our luck in giving out wrapped copies of the Book of Mormon and Caroling. We gave out ten in the past couple of days !!! I love how open and kind people have been with it being Christmas time. I'm scared for January lol.
We forgot to take pictures but theres this little room in our apartment that we dont use for much,,, so we have decked it out as our cozy hygge room. And now, its our cozy CHRISTMAS hygge room. We love curling up by the heater with blankets and a danish treat and the Book of Mormon videos. Søster Parass mom sent us the 12 days of Christmas so we also open a gift together every night! Love our squishy mother daughter bonding time
Dont forget to think about Jesus this Christmas. To be honest, being out here is really really hard. It is cold and wet and dark. I am really tired. People arent very nice. Danish is kind of difficult. But because of Jesus Christ, I am not only able to survive it, but I can by happy as I am surviving it. Any strengths or successes I have can all be credited to him. I cant tell you how many "I dont know if I can do this anymore" prayers I have said, but I can tell you that with each Amen, I was filled with a peace and a strength to keep going that I know could only come from my Savior. He is the greatest gift. The gift that was, is, and ever will be the most priceless-and yet free to all. He is my best friend.
Merry Christmas! Glædelig jul!

Week 31 - Chillin' on a Dirt Road
Hej med jer
I was going to do the subject line as "sweet child of mine" because, I have a child, but like, after the wonderful week and pday we have had, that song only seemed fitting.
This week was insane. ((if only I had a dime for everytime I read that in a missionaries weekly email)). But really though. I spent the first two days basically just waiting for my trainee to get here so I was just babysat by other companions for quite a while. Went on Elder splits for like half a day-which was interesting- and then followed the stl's and a dying missionary around Copenhagen just having fun. We went to Tivoli's (the super dope amusement park in københavn) and ate Christmas treats. #missionfatforevigt
And then I got my child. Søster Paras. Who is literally so legendary.
She is a total hick and knows all the right country songs. She already knows how to work hard and lovessss the gospel. Oh yeah, and she's an Aggie #represent. So I'm just teaching her how to have fun here and there and how to speak Danish (both of those things are much more difficult than they sound but we are thriving still). But yeah, we're homies.
Today, she and I went out to teach some homies in Skjern, a city on the west coast of Jylland. These people are so positive, so we have driven out there twice now. We DIED over the beautiful countryside, and since it was pday, we decided to check out the ocean out there as well. So fun. They fed us æbleskiver and gløgg.
Basically I love my life and I love Denmark and most of all I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I feel like Will Ferrel in Elf in that scene where he hops around and yells "I'm in love! I'm in love! And I don't care who knows it!" except I'm like in love with how happy the Spirit makes me or something cheesy like that.

Week 30 - Bet on It
Funniest Quotes of the Week:
"We spent 6 hours finding today and we didn't make any progress! If anything we DIGRESSED spiritually by breaking the word of wisdom!"
- søster Semadeni, in reference to the interesting drink we were given on someone's doorstep that could've been tea
"Do you think emperor Kusko is more attractive as a human or a llama?"
- Søster Smith, on splits
"Make sure you all meet together soon to give sister Felt information on your friends as she is the only one that will be staying after we close Hammerum...and Søster Felt, to make your life easier, I'll be sending you a new missionary. Fresh from the states,"
-President Olsen, over the phone; clearly on some form of expired medication and/or has lost his sanity entirely
Yeah so that's what's up. Things are good and I am alive,, have a great week!

Week 29 - It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...
Halløjså! Og god juletid!
Hungarian Horntail: Our friend Katinka is straight up a miracle. We met with her twice this last week and both lessons went really well. The spirit was so strong. At this point, she has been setting up her own meetings with us and sending US reminders🤤 She came to church on Sunday and LOVED it. She wants to join the church when she moves back to Hungary on the 10th so we found the church building she will go to and we're working to hook her up with the missionaries in her hometown in Budapest. I love seeing how much joy this has brought her in just one week!! I can't wait for her to be taught more in her language and gain the blessings.
We've got frienddsssss (in high places): Carmen's lesson went super well she and her boi are quite interested. We have been taking really slow (as the spirit has guided) and she remains really positive!
Just goes to show we aren't here to drag people to baptism. The Lord prepares his people, it's up to them to choose to come receive the blessings.
God Bless America: For Thanksgiving I ate McDonald's. I even left the pickles on my Burger to show God that I was thankful for vegetables. Jk I was just too lazy to take them off. It was a good Thanksgiving dinner.
But I'd Rather be in my Library reading Science Books all day: We had a mission-wide conference this week, Ældste Kapishke and his wife came (our area seventy) and spoke to us. A common theme throughout was the importance of studying and using the Book of Mormon. It's been on my mind a lot lately. Studying isn't just a good thing, it's a commandment! Just think of the examples, "Learn of me..." or "seek ye learning out of the best books," and the list goes on. Knowledge is one of the most valuable things we can gain in this life, as it is one of the few things we can carry with us to the next. Get studyin' folks!!
Welp,, that appears to be all my little fingers can bare to type as of now. So, I hope you have a great week! Jeg elsker dig!
1 tul plus 1 tul equals two-tulssss!!!!
